Edit profile link URL not working

  • The ‘edit profile’ link on users’ profile pages does not redirect properly.

    The correct URL (which has uppercase letters) is being rewritten to lowercase by UM, which borks.

    Can this be fixed? If not, I will be abandoning UM for something that works properly.

    Hi @startupfreak,

    Can you please tell us what permalink settings do you have in Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks? Please also let us know what upper case letters do you have in your URL, is it a subdirectory?

    Problem solved.

    I am working on a site that does not yet have a domain name assigned. Instead, I am using a ‘number’ IP address followed by a sub-directory name.

    The problem arises when UM modifies the sub-directory name in the URL to lowercase. The solution was to reinstall into a sub-directory with an all-lowercase name.

    This was a pain in the butt and a big waste of my time. Maybe UM should be fixed so that it doesn’t mess with directory names.
