I am a writer. I would not use this.

I am a writer. I would not use Gutenberg to write. This is not how writers actually write, and it is not amenable to our company’s internal review process. I write within another program, produce an editable document, and share for review. Once reviews are completed, a final document is prepared, which I then transfer in one simple action to the current Classic Editor. From there, I customize that post for SEO. Yes, I’m a writer who actually is SEO certified and adept at digital marketing, having worked for a digital agency in the past. I follow a rather simple process now; I prefer to put my effort into writing the actual CONTENT, not the process for getting that content into the website. If I had to break my document into blocks AFTER I write it, that seems ridiculous and time consuming. True writers don’t write by block. They write by concept and thought. Perhaps if the Gutenberg programmers actually were writers, they might understand how what they are creating is actually going to cause MORE work for writers. But clearly, they are not writers, based on the comments I have seen from them responding to reviews here. I have read quite a bit about the program, and I tested the format using their own tools as well. It is not something that is easy to use, and I can’t allow Gutenberg to break our company’s WordPress website. Yes, I also manage that as well. One-person operation here, and I don’t have time to fix our company’s website due to Gutenberg’s poorly written program. I have installed the Classic Editor plugin and have already set it to be the default to PROTECT my company’s investment in our website. If WordPress doesn’t get notice out to companies like ours about what they plan to do and how Gutenberg might really destroy websites, then they deserve whatever happens. At least in the short-term, I did my due diligence and have protected our investment…for now…don’t make me look for another solution if you plan to kill the Classic Editor plugin.
