    Hey guys,

i’m sure this has to be an option, but i can’t seem to figure out how to work it. I want a specific Widget in my default sidebar to only show on any woo commerce category page.

Is there a way to do this without having to define every category page one by one in the visibility thingy? Just simple “show/hide on all categories”?

Alternatively i could go with a “hide widget on specific page”?

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers
    Tim

  • Hello @farbenfeuer

    Hope all is well!

Out if the box, it is possible to show a sidebar on only Product Category pages from Sidebar location, please see this screenshot:

I am afraid there is no option to select “All Categories” invisibility option, however, it would be a great feature. All categories need to be selected manually for now.

Alternatively i could go with a “hide widget on specific page”?

From the Visibility button, it is possible to add multiple rules. Add a new rule “Special Pages” to hide/show a widget on a certain page.

    Hope this helps!

As far as i can tell in your case that would also mean to add the whole sidebar only on the categories, whereas i only meant the one element in my otherwise default sidebar.

Couldn’t find the option you had in your screenshot nevertheless, so i gave up and ended up adding every single category by hand.

You might wanna think about adding a way to make this possible or more easy.

    Hey @farbenfeuer,

    Hope you’re well.

    To see the second image options that Nastia shared, you need to click “Visibility” button when you open any widget like this;

Then you can choose categories from the input, but there is no way to automatically select all product categories for a single widget. Also, you can create two same sidebars and put the extra widget to other one and you can assign the whole sidebar to product categories. If you don’t have many custom sidebars this can be more manageable maybe.
