    Hi, it’s me again ??

In the meantime I work in all my three blogs with Gutenberg and it’s so intuitive. The only thing I’m missing at the moment (or what I didn’t found) is the possibiliy to see in the editor the images I uploaded to the post I’m working on. In the classic editor I have over the text input field a button ‘Medien hinzufügen’; if I click on it I come to the mediathek and can choose ‘Zu diesem Beitrag hochgeladen’ (uploaded to this post).

In Gutenberg I only come to the mediathek by creating an image block, but in the Mediathek there isn’t the drop down field to choose ‘Zu diesem Beitrag hochgeladen’. So I cannot see easily only the pictures I uploaded to the post; I only can choose the pictures by months.

Help would be great, thank you in advance!

  • Howdy –

To be honest, I may not fully understand what is happening here. I’m still going to try and help ??

When using Gutenberg editor I can click on the + for a new block, choose image from the menu, and when I insert that image to the post it displays. It sounds to me, that when you are inserting the image you don’t see it in the editor…Is that right?

Can you grab a screen shot of what you are seeing?

    Hi @lizkarkoski ,

thank you for your answer. I will try to explain my problem; it’s a little bit difficult, because my English is not so good.

In the classic editor I have a button over the text input field for inserting media:

Clicking on this button brings me to the mediathek, where is a drop down button where I can choose to see only pictures uploaded to this post:

Choosing this option gives me only pictures belonging to the post:

In Gutenberg I have to click the + in the left corner above and choose an image block:

Than I must click in the block the mediathek button:

In the mediathek reached via Gutenberg there is no option to see only the Pictures belonging to the post, I can only choose pictures per month. The drop down menu to choose Audio or Video or pictures uploaded to the post isn’t there:

I miss the possibility to see only pictures uploaded to my post; as I upload 200 – 300 pictures a month I love (and I need) the possibility of only seeing the post pictures.

I hope you can understand my problem now ??

    Howdy @deichschaf

Yes, I understand now. Pictures are worth a thousand words!

The behavior is the same for me as well. My suspicion is that this would be a bit down on the priority list for feature requests but I do think it worth noting for the team. It doesn’t seem to be a bug in any way from what I can see.

Feel free to add it here: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues

I am happy to write it up if you prefer. Just let me know. I did a search through the Github list and didn’t find this previously mentioned.

Thank you for your answer! It would be great if you could post the problem at Ghithub. You can explani it much better than me. Thank you in advance for doing that ??

    Hi again –

No problem. I’ve summarized the request here:
