Brand Spank’n new to WordPress – just converted my blog from Drupal and so far no regrets! Well, save one, and it must be possible somehow, and that is my question.

(Being new my way of even phrasing this question may be off – not in WP lingo but I will try my best.)

Drupal allowed the ability to produce pages that custom filtered blog posts using a “Views” concept – I am looking for the equivalent in WP.

    Example:

Create a post with a category (or some attribute) of “Site Notice” and have that post appear on the main page as is default WP behavior but also provide a page (navigateable via top level menu) that displays a copy of the main page layout (or custom would be even better) that filters only posts with “Site Notice”

I know I can do this with tags and other filtered side bars – but I really want that top level page menu.
Something plugin’ish would be a plus as my PHP/CSS talent is lacking.

There has to be a way that I am missing. Tips? Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!
