    Thanks for testing the new editor. It’s really great you are excited about it. Can I ask what other blocks or features would you like to see added?

    The current core blocks seems ok for now. I have learned how to make blocks for my shortcodes, or lack of such, myself (plugin, child-theme/functions.php), thanks to @pento, so I’m very well prepared.

    Blocks with server rendering is so much simpler than I anticipated. And shortcodes still work, just without visual WYSIWYG rendering in the editor.

    A small step for me, a huge step for WordPress. continue;

    I could add:

    Being used to a “soup” of (nested) shortcodes, made by page builders and anything “visual”, completely out of line with what’s actually seen on the front, Gutenberg is the way to go.

    Many thanks to you, and to the whole team contributing to Gutenberg, for the work so far. Amazing achievement!

    Some of us are hoping that at some stage Gutenberg will mature to the point where it can function as a foundation for page layouts and structure that page builders can use and therefore get rid of the need for them to have to use shortcodes.
