    Hello,

As explained in the documentation, this plugin sets a trap for bad bots. Any bots that fall into the trap are blocked. It is very effective. So for your question, it all depends on whether or not those particular bots fall into the trap. If they do, then they will be blocked. If they do not fall into the trap, then they will not be blocked. Please read the documentation for further infos on how it works, setup, et al. And let me know if you have any further questions, glad to help.

I do understand how the plugin works.
But my questions is are websites like semrush and moz considered bad bot?
Also where can i see the list of bad bots that are added by default to the plugin?

    Glad to help:

    1) “are websites like semrush and moz considered bad bot?”

Not that I am aware of, rather they are simply services that people can use for SEO and stuff. Have heard no reports of any negative behavior.

    2) “Also where can i see the list of bad bots that are added by default to the plugin?”

No bad bots are added automatically. Some good bots are however added when the plugin is first activated. You can find a list on the Installation tab via the plugin homepage.
