    Recently migrated a site from Bluehost to Hostgator.
    DNS was in place pointing to new server.
    Replaced Woothemes Canvas with Divi / Builder
    Created new pages, Added media, Changed theme colors etc.
    Saved along the way (didn’t do a back up, duh)
    Went to site today and everything was gone including media that was uploaded, pages that where created & published. Plugins that were deleted are back, plugins are deactivated.

    Sidenote this site can’t connect to Jetpack due to verification secrets not being able to validate. Also traffic and ranking went through the floor to almost zero after migration (still trying to figure out if that is normal).

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  • DNS changes can take 24-48 hours to propagate. I’m making a wild guess here, that maybe you were actually still making changes to your Bluehost database if less time had pass.

    If that is a case, and you still have access to your Bluehost account, you can check if the copy of your site’s database there has all the changes you implemented, then export the database from Bluehost and import it in Hostgator via phpmyadmin.

    As I said, I’m just guessing but it wouldn’t hurt to check if that’s what happened!

    All Set moving to resolved. An employee at the hosting company wiped all my work over the past 4 days. Wasn’t intentional. Bummer.
