    Hello

as mentioned in the title I have the problem that I have to setup multiple times for a event.

    E.g. A Film is shown on 2018-08-14 18:00 and 20:15.

So is there a way to do so?

  • Hey there @mumbomedia!

    Thanks for reaching out.

Since The Events Calendar doesn’t have the capability of using more than one time for an event, the best thing to do here would be to create separate events with different times. Some time can be saved here by using a third party plugin like Post Duplicator to quickly duplicate an event.

You can suggest a feature that allows multiple times over at our Feature Request forum.

    Hope that helps!

    Hey there Ed,

    thanks for the fast response.
That would be a good solution.

I notice that the Pro-version is capable of creating series of events.
Are these events also created separatly?
We will ask our customer if he need this features and if so we will buy it.

I would also use a plugin like Post Status Scheduler to automatically change the post status to draft / trash if the event is expired. Therefore separate events will be necessary.

I know the events date are stored as post meta.
I see you use it in your demo (https://wpshindig.com/) for the post permalink.
I pretty sure that this would a better seo than the default.

Yeah, The Events Calendar Pro offers recurring posts which seems to be what you are looking for. It also has a feature that will remove events after they are so old (user-defined)

    Hey there,

Since this thread has been inactive for a while, I’m going to go ahead and mark it as resolved. Don’t hesitate to create a new thread any time you help again!
