Create an ajax dropdown “contact the author of this post” form on each wp post

Hi,

i want to create an ajax dropdown “contact the author of this post” form at the bottom of each post page. So readers can contact the author of the post. i cant seem to figure how to do it. I am using wordpress 2.7

From what i read cforms plugin is the answer, but i tried cforms and it gave an error on install, so i removed it.

it gives this error below

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/content/html/sitename/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_email.php on line 3
