Is it possible to have a button that will open a page that someone could send a text message from their cell phone?

Maybe the Cell Phone Number? At least in my cell phone I can open either the telephone or the SMS function after the click on the cell phone number.

You just need an option to use Send an SMS

Here’s an article that spells out exactly what I’m looking for: https://thenewcode.com/856/Send-a-SMS-Text-From-A-Link

The reader comments that appear at the end of the article offer additional ideas.

I found a free resource that can easily create what I’m looking for and hoped that the Speed Contact Bar plugin could be updated to tie into this resource: https://www.zipwhip.com/clicktotext

Thank you for the notices. I will implement the SMS link. Please be patient.

    Thanks, Martin! You’re the best.

Will you post notice of that update in this thread so that I can implement it on my website? I’m probably losing a number of potential clients who try to send text messages through my business landline. Unfortunately, the sender does not get notification that they’re trying to text message a landline and since I don’t know it, I can’t respond.

No worry, I will inform you here about the upgrade.

You can use the SMS icon with the currently published version 6.3. If you like the plugin I would be glad about your review.

Martin, thank you for adding the SMS icon! It works perfectly!
