Need some help here – long story short our domain was shut off and sold…I had a few tables that Id like to replicate on a new site – I have access to my files from the old site still I was hoping there is a specific folder which contains my data. My thought was if I could get the files I could install tablepress on the new site and hopefully copy the data file into the new site ??

I’m sorry if there is already post about this I looked and couldn’t find it.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

TablePress tables (just like all other data on your site, like posts and pages) are stored in a mySQL database, and not directly in files. So, the question here simply is: Do you have a backup file of your mySQL database? If so, we can reconstruct everything from that. If you don’t have such a backup, and if there’s no existing copy of the tables or site (e.g. in the Google Cache or the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine), there’s nothing we can do.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

do you mean you have access to WordPress or to the mySQL database? If the first, then export all tables on the TablePress “Export” screen, both the CSV and JSON format.
If you only have access to the mySQL database, I would suggest to create a full backup and use that as the foundation of your new site. The TablePress tables are stored in the wp_posts database table, all entries have a value of tablepress_table in the post_type table column. In addition, you should copy the rows tablepress_plugin_options and tablepress_tables from the wp_options database table.

    Regards,
    Tobias
