• Hi,

I can only find mention of this error when uploading themes but our problem is not related to themes, or at least it doesn’t seem to be.

When we go to Posts > All Posts on the left hand menu from the WordPress dashboard and then click on the first entry under posts, then click Edit and change something, followed by clicking Update, we get the error page with “The link you followed has expired”. This is only the case for the top (first) entry in the list of all the posts.

We also see the error page when going to Dashboard > Updates and clicking Update Now.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

    Luke

    Hi lukychinhi,

Thanks for replying, the issue is now fixed.

When using a different machine, the problem wasn’t uniform. It seemed that depending on which machine we were on, we had the error come up on different blogs we tried to edit.

The site is coming through Cloudflare and when we turned off the Cloudflare caching it seemed to solve the problem.

I am experiencing the same issue on Google Chrome. Very frustrating – some sessions are less than 20 minutes and it interrupts the save process. This is new in the last few weeks. any suggestions?
I just realized this thread may be specific to Blue Host Hosting… I am with Web Hosting Hub.
