Hi, we’ve used Glotpress to translate our plugin into several other languages. However, export only gives us .po files for each language. My understanding is we need both .pot and .mot for each language, to be included with our plugin. How do we get those files?

When you do the export you can select .po or .mo as the export file format. Technically you only need the .mo files, but most people include both for easy of troubleshooting.

Oh, I see. So there’s no way to bulk-export all of them at once? That only works for .po, right?

You can use a plugin like, GP Bulk Download Translations to do that.

Excellent! Thanks. I’ll try that. Is there a way to have the filenames formatted correctly in the bulk download? My understanding is they need to be formatted as (for example) “fr_FR.mo” whereas right now they download as “project-fr.mo”.

EDIT: looks like I already had that plugin installed, just need to add the lines to WP config.
