I am using WP 4.9.6 running the Twenty Eleven theme. I recently upgraded Subscribe2 to Version 10.22.1. Formerly, the excerpt notifications it sent out for new posts looked fine in the recipient’s mail: reasonable font size and appropriate paragraph spacing. Now the notifications it sends are essentially unformatted, appearing in a small Times New Roman font with no paragraph spacing (carriage return/line feed). Can you help with this please? Is this a known issue and is it a matter of upgrading to v11.1?

    Many thanks!

The current version of Subscribe2 on here is 10.22.1, I forked it a while ago at GitHub to fix a few minor issues as the www.remarpro.com version seems not t be getting updates anymore.

You may wish to update to a version from here:

Version 11.1 is Subscribe2 HTML – that’s the paid version of Subscribe2 with additional features.

Thank you for your quick response! One question: I can easily replace the directory, but is my subscribers list stored in there or outside of that? I wouldn’t want to overwrite that!

Also – is this a known issue? That is, has anyone else reported the problem to you?

    Many thanks,
    Rich

I think the issue might be linked to this, and as I recall I did apply a fix in my fork of the code.

You can replace the directory via FTP – that database is the place where the subscriber data are stored.

I apologize – I’m still unclear about the answer. Yes, I know how to upload the entire directory via FTP, no problem there, but I don’t want to overwrite my subscribers list. Is my subscribers list stored OUTSIDE the new directory that I’m uploading or WITHIN it? If it’s outside the directory, there’s obviously no problem. BUT if it’s inside that directory, I’d better get my data out of there before I overwrite it!

Thanks again for your prompt responses!

Subscriber data is not stored in a file at all, neither in nor out of the plugin folder – it’s stored in the database along with your post content data.

    Got it! Thanks, @mattyrob!

Let’s hope the new version fixes the formatting problem!

    Many thanks,

That fixed the problem @mattyrob! I also have a different ongoing issue that I’ll post under a different thread.

    Many thanks,
