I have a non-elementor website, but I use elementor for one page. When I use the default template on this particular page, I can see in Chrome developer that the child theme’s css gets pulled in. But, if I choose the elementor canvas template, the parent theme’s css is used, and the child theme’s css is ignored. I can see the child theme’s css overrides on any of the non-elelmentor pages, no matter which template I use. Is elementor designed to work this way with the canvas template? As a result, I have to use the simple css plugin, which works fine in overriding the elementor page with the canvas template. But I can’t do it with the child theme.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • No, the canvas is meant for pages with no header or footer.
If a child theme is turned on, there is no way to use the parent theme’s CSS and override the child theme other than using custom CSS
