[plugin: flShow Manager] stageloaderURL and XML errors

I’m setting up a new site on a test server on my computer. I installed flShow Manager just fine, but I ran into a few problems in creating a carousel.
The main problem is that when I try to finalize (or when I try to view a page with the carousel in it) I get a number of errors:
stage loaderURL https://localhost…plugins/flshow/resources/flshowcarousel.swf
currentDomain is localhost
Message: Loading XML data
XML data file: https://localhost…
Failed to load dataFile https://localhost…
Message: Loading XML data
XML data file in SWF path: https://localhost…/resources/https://localhost…
Message: Input/Output error while loading XML data file.I can obviously provide the full urls if necessary. I haven’t a clue where to start fixing these various issues. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
