Comments From Unregistered Visitors

I’ve tried the default WordPress theme with the same result so this doesn’t appear to be a theme issue. But if it is, please let me know so I can direct this appropriately.

If I allow comments from visitors who are not registered on my site, when they fill out their review/comment and name and email, and click the button to submit it, nothing happens. From their perspective. On my end, I get a notification that there’s a pending comment.

For normal WordPress post comments, there’s some sort of acknowledgement that their comment has been submitted and will be reviewed before being public.

Is there anyway to enable this same sort of acknowledgement because otherwise it just looks broken. I only just realized that users without an account have this experience today when I got the same comment from a person multiple times. That’s when I tested it as a non-logged in user and realized that there’s simply nothing that happens if they fill out the form correctly. If you make a mistake like not including a name or filling out an email address that is improperly formatted, they get an error message. But if you do it right, you have no way of really telling it submitted.
