Spinning wheel forever

Using Version 5.0.2

Upon pressing the submit button the wheel starts to spin beside the button but the email is never sent. No message is displayed, no error message, no success message, nothing. Just the wheel spinning ad infinitum.

? It already worked before.
? I have tested with “WP Mail SMTP” to send via smtp. No avail. Also used to work.
? Email Test is successful.
? Only when using Contact Form 7 it fails. No configuration errors with forms. Happens to all forms.
? Creating new form to test on different page than the other forms: Test-form does not work either.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
