Slows Down Pages

    Hello,

    Great plugin, however, it substantially slows down the page where I use Feedzy Lite.

    I have setup 25 short codes all on one page, all pulling from different feeds with a 3 hour refresh.

    It takes on average about 20 seconds for anyone to access the page.

    Any suggestions on what I can do to speed this up? The thumbnails are 150px, title 80 and summary 340.

    Hey there,

    Sorry for the delay, our WPorg system broke and we stopped receiving support tickets for some products.

    If you put 25 feeds on one page, which will pull a lot of content and different images, it will take some time to load the page, unfortunately.

    What’s interesting is that sometimes the page loads super fast, but most of the time, it takes a while.

    Usually on new devices that are accessing the page for the 1st time, the page loads quick. On devices that the page has been previously accessed, its super slow, unless I clear my cache. Any reason why that may be happening?

    What is the max number of feeds you recommend per page where it wouldn’t affect page load time?

    Thank you for being a part of this community.

    Unfortunately, there isn’t a specific number of feeds to add on a page to get optimal load time, because all websites, pages and feeds are different. Also, ‘optimal load time’ is a subjective matter as it’s more about opinion and preferences rather than fact. So it really depends on your choice and your website. Please run a few tests using different numbers of feeds and find the number that is right for you.
