    Hello.

I am trying to connect our WordPress site to our CRM Online/Dynamics 365 deployment.

    Dynamics version: 8.2.2.1862
    Plugin Version: 1.2.12.2
    Wordpress version: 4.9.6

Issue: When I try to authenticate the plugin to either our Live or Dev environment, I get the following error:

Unable to connect to Dynamics 365: Call to a member function getElementsByTagName() on null. Check whether you selected the appropriate deployment type and that CRM URL and credentials are correct.

    – The URL is correct in both cases.
    – The credentials work to sign-in through the web client with no issue.
    – Selecting “CRM Online”
    – For testing, the user has been given admin rights in CRM.
    – However, nothing seems to work. Error is thrown every time.
    – Even tried my personal credentials for the overall CRM admin. Still no luck.

What else can we do to get the app to connect at all?

    Hi @jvekichgenoa

what region your organization is in? New ones pop up all the time, we may need to update our discovery code.

    other things to check:

    1. check Ignore SSL Errors checkbox
    2. try entering an API endpoint, usually it’s https://orgname.api.crmN.dynamics.com

can you please set logging level to Debug on About tab, try to connect, then switch back to About tab, download the log and send it to [email protected]

    Thanks
    George

As per the support discussion, latest version of the plugin now supports federated authentication (which was the reason for the error).
