Not receiving email at comment are written in my Blog

I was taking a look at the forum and did not find some topic with my problem; I am using wordpress 2.7.1 and it is fine but I have a major problem with the discussion module, at time someone writes a comment in my blog I do not receive the requested new comment notification email to my address in order to check the comment and either I do not receive a notification email at time a comment in my blog is pending for moderation; my Blog is hosted with Godaddy. Has someone experienced this issue with the WordPress version 2.7.1?
