Aggressive is WAY to aggressive, can’t maintain whites

Was fairly happy with this plugin on some images but it really messes up others on the default setting of aggressive.

It certainly can not maintain white backgrounds on things like product images, aggressive optimisation turns them to a light grey or puts light grey lines through the background, this shows up really obviously on bright screens and iphones (retina) displays.

So you have to be careful what you optimise!!

I was hoping normal would be a step down from aggressive but it actually is not, NORMAL optimisation just strips exif data and is usually a 1 – 2 % reduction in file size.

Aggressive optimization also pixelates SKIN very badly. So if you use product imagery with white backgrounds or need your product models skin to look smooth and even, DO not compress with this plugin.

If you just use standard imagery then it is ok, but doesn’t really do much more than other plugins.

Please make another setting somewhere between normal and aggressive, because aggressive is just WAY TO AGGRESSIVE in the optimisation. It needs to maintain whites especially!
