• Hello

I’ve found that W3 conflicts with Divi theme builder.
When W3 is activated, many builder functions do not show on builder preview. Deactivating W3 solve the matter.
Divi support is aware of this and they point to you.
Will appreciate if you’ll fix this
    Thanks

It’s very easy for them to just point to us, as we have a larger user database and they really are too lazy to just code their themes the right way…

But anyway, could you please share the contents of your wp-content/w3tc-config/master.php file so we can try to reproduce the issues?

no problem, please give me an email address to send it to, I don’t wish it to be public as the site is still under construction

another reply I got from Divi:

“Hello there. We have a certain functionality in Divi that works fine before installing the caching plugin.

The cache isn’t handled properly which I simply don’t see how Divi can be blaimed here. Plugins are developed in order work fine with themes and not the other way around. Divi adheres to all the coding practices of WordPress, claiming they have a large user-base and this is why it’s out fault is just a very poor response, as Divi is the most used WordPress theme.

If they can point to what causes the issue in Divi, we can surely take a look and try to work with them and fix it however without any input from them I’m afraid there’s not much we can do ourselves. “

You can paste the contents of the file here and change the URLs to https://www.example.com so we don’t see anything you don’t want us to know.

I think there might be something going wrong in the Minify process when going over the Divi files. Could you check if everything works fine with Minify turned off?

I have the same issue. Divi’s support team says that when minify is activated in W3 Total Cache, then it breaks some functionality in the Divi Builder.

Here is what their support wrote me:
I have gone through and saw that the issue is due to plugin conflict W3 Total Cache when minify setting is enable. I would recommend contacting the plugin’s author/developer to let them know that when Minify Setting is enabled, it breaks your builder layout. They should be able to provide an insights for it as to why it is occurring. Feel free to contact them first and let me know what they said so I have a better idea and can look more closely to it.

I have disabled the minify setting temporarily.

@flaxion Good, now we can finally debug this problem. Could you please go to Performance => General and enable Debug Mode for Minify, then enable Minify itself, visit the website in incognito mode and provide us with the debug logs found in the cache directory? This should help us figure out what exactly in the minify process breaks the Divi theme.

My guess is that is has something to do with the order of scripts being loaded. In that case, it’s better to use Minify mode: Manual and change the order of the scripts yourself.

I am not able to activate debug mode for Minify. I cannot check the checkbox.

You should enable minify first, then you’ll be able to check the checkbox.

Is there more information about this case? I have the same problem that DiVi Builder reacts very strange. There is no work with the combination W3TC and Divi. I would like to hear if there is a solution.

    Hello @jeariemer,

Can you please provide the info @gidomanders asked 3 posts above so we can try to debug this?

Is it about wp-content / cache / minify? There are many files in that folder. which do you need? And where can I send them?
