    Hi,
I ask you kindly that in future releases you could add a feature to Delete also Orphan Options that removed plugins and removed themes abandon in the Data Base.

    – Is it possible to delete at least for the most of them (just like for the well-known plugins and themes)?

    – Is it possible to have this feature in your plugin?

Thank you for your work. It is helpful for all of us.

    Kind regards

    G. Aloe.

There is no way to know which options are orphaned sadly. It is technically not possible as there is no central register to keep track.

I cannot contribute, unfortunately. I am not skilled to do that.

But what I have understood is that in any plugin there are one or more rows where are indicated the options added in the DB.

Then, if I know the prefixes of the options insert by the installed plugins (the prefix identify the plugin that is using that option), I can work excluding the installed plugins, showing only the other options (those unknown) letting the user to select which ones delete OR to delete them all excluding those that are of WordPress and of the active theme.

This would be just my approach for the managing of the problem.

Easier said than done. Two reasons
    1. Scanning file system files will be heavy if the wp-content/plugins and wp-content/themes have a lot of files
    2. There is no way to know what prefix the theme or plugin is using in the code. You can eyeball it manually but there is no way to translate that into code.
