• Hi.

I’m constructing the structure of a page. I create several pages and sub-pages, and sometimes the link of the subpages respect this structure, sometimes it doesn’t, and then the breadcrumbs miss the adresses.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi.

Yes … well, now I have made changes in the pages area of the administration, and the jerarchy is done, but it seems that WP doesn’t respect it. May be I must create the structure at the beggining? I suppose it’s possible to change the relations between pages, doesn’t it?

That’s right, you can alter or remove a page’s parent at any time. If a page’s ancestors do not appear in its permalink, there may be a name collision or similar conflict. Try visiting the permalinks settings page. This causes any pending rewrite rules to be committed. See if the links are any better afterwards.

If you still have trouble, install and activate the health-check plugin. Invoke its troubleshooting mode. You should see proper permalinks this way. Reactivate your modules using the troubleshooting item in the admin bar, one at a time, testing after each change. When the problem recurs, the last activated module is causing the conflict.

God … I activate this plugin, and all web is broken. I’m trying to recover all structure, but some parts of the administration doesn’t work, like Appearance. Breadcrumbs poblem now doesn’t matter at all …

The health check plugin?? After invoking troubleshooting mode? I assume so, as the information part doesn’t do anything but gather information. It appears to be affecting only your view, the front end appears to be all correct AFAICT. The plugin creates a temporary clone of your site that only you can see. It works off the same DB, so changes made are real, but the appearance and function via this clone doesn’t affect your actual site. You can disable troubleshooting mode from the admin bar item, then go ahead and deactivate the plugin. All will be restored.
