Why isn’t a new page showing up?

    Good day everyone,
    I am in need of help. I have a new site and had it looking like I’d wanted to get started. I change the theme and all of a sudden nothing works.
    I can’t add a new page.
    I am doing it correctly. I use “add new page” in the dashboard and when I click visit site, it is not showing up..
    Am I missing something?
    My site is meant to be a simple one.
