• Super useful to have and honestly surprised it took me so long to finally utilize something like this tool. Ive kept a good deal of hackers and bots at bay since the launch of my site with this tool and Im astounded at just how many constantly keep attempting to peck away at my site. This plugin is really simple to setup and is also well documented.

The only option I wish existed is a way to automatically add IP’s to the blacklist when they are caught attempting to probe for vulnerable code, etc. Maybe its there and I just couldn’t spot it yet, but I cant seem to find the option. Other than that which is a minor annoyance, this plugin is amazing for a free offering. Once I expand my site and it begins to get larger I will likely upgrade depending on the frequency of attacks.

I also have issues from time to time with it blocking my verizon subnet when I attempt to login via my iphone if Im not home, but again its a minor annoyance. At least I know its working… sometimes a little too good? haha..

    Great work Devs!

Thanks! There is no such an option as “automatically add IP’s to the blacklist” otherwise you’ll end up with thousands IP addresses in the list. Does anybody wants to manage them? Just let the plugin do its job and it will lock out all suspicious and malicious IP addresses for a specified period of time.

I understand. The reason I proposed that is because, at the moment, I haven’t even launched yet.. its just a landing page letting folks know were coming soon. So every single thing the plugin has caught thus far is entirely malicious attempts and they are constant. The plugins doing its job excellently, but each time there is a new offending IP (which is frequent), I am finding myself manually adding them to the blacklist. At the very least it would be great to have an option to automatically add “repeat offenders” to the blacklist. Excellent plugin either way. Thank you!
