How To Make A Second Category Layout On Same Blog

I want to have a secondary layout for a blog.

Example:

1) Admin Posts Articles – Category Layout – GRID Layout with Feature Image, Title, Description etc.

2) User Submitted Post – Category Layout – LIST Layout, Author Profile Image, Title, No Description, Number of comments showing etc.

Questions:

Is there a way to do this as described?

Is there a work around for what I am trying to do?
