Here’s a weird issue…my mega menu works fine on every page of my site, EXCEPT on the checkout page, where it is completely invisible. I’ve deactivated the plugin and the menu returned, so it is definitely a plugin issue. The issue is evident on both desktop and mobile. I am using a Storefront child theme. I’ve noticed this problem for at least a couple of months. See screenshot

    Hi st,

    Thanks for posting a link.

I’ve checked on our storefront demo site (https://storefront.maxmegamenu.com/), and the menu is visible on all pages including the checkout. This is just a standard, up to date WordPress site running StoreFront and Max Mega Menu (with no modifications).

Can you try switching to the parent StoreFront theme? I am just guessing, but my initial thoughts are there might be something in the child theme that’s hiding the menu on the checkout.

    Regards,
    Tom

Okay…now I’m really confused. when I sent you the original message above, the menu was gone…when I deactivated the plugin, it returned, making me believe it was a plugin issue. I’ve spent the better part of my morning today, going through plugins, deactivating them, to see if I can narrow down any apparent conflict (and yes, I did revert to the Storefront Theme as you suggested…same issue). but now…I tried it again…I deactivated the MegaMenu plugin, but this time, the menu remained invisible on the checkout…so it is definitely NOT a plugin problem.

Now I have no clue what to do. Seems like this may have begun around the time I did a Woocommerce or Storefront update, but I can’t be sure.

But thanks anyway, Tom. Love the plugin, BTW.

    Hi st,

It looks like you have StoreFront Powerpack installed.

Do you have “Distraction Free” checkout enabled?

    From this page: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/storefront-powerpack/

    Type of Checkout
Select the type of layout you wish customers to use in checkout.

Distraction-Free: Allows the customer to focus on checkout and payment. Removes most header elements, widgets, breadcrumbs and footer content. Note: If enabled, layout will automatically be Stacked.

    Tom

Dude! Talk about feeling like a schmuck…yeah, that’s me.

That fixed it. Honestly, I don’t recall EVER changing anything in those particular settings. Once I built my site last fall, I have only tweaked other plugins…but not that one. Perhaps that is something that was fixed/updated/changed in a Jetpack update that caused this to happen recently.

When I was looking over everything to find the issue, here is what is actually stated in the Customization screen (didn’t look like anything to worry about):

    Distraction Free Checkout
Removes all clutter from the checkout, allowing the customer to focus entirely on that procedure.

Either way, thanks for the heads up. It wasn’t your problem, but you helped me out anyway…BIG THANKS!

    Hi st,

You’re welcome. That customizer option is not very well described!

If you have a spare minute, would you mind leaving a quick review for the plugin at the bottom of this page? It would be much appreciated!

    Regards,
    Tom
