0.9.7 auto creating invalidation requests for cloudfront

  • It seems that 0.9.7 has a new feature that automatically creates CloudFront invalidation requests for newly uploaded media files. This can add up to lots of $ on a busy site.

    Anyone know how to disable or where the new features are in the code? I haven’t found it yet.

    We’re adding a warning about the additional costs it could cause when using CloudFront CDN. Sorry for the inconvenience. I’ll discuss the option to disable the feature.

    CloudFront without invalidation requests can be achieved using generic mirror for now. We’re working on an option to only generate invalidation requests on a manual purge.

    Pathetic coding of this plugin has given me a $100 billing in AWS in just 2 days. That’s my whole month of earnings gone in a sec.
