WooCommerce is set not to monitor stock levels. I have created an event with a date range. There is an attribute for different ticket prices. I have created a variation for each ticket and set it to all dates. For each variation the price is set and the Stock Status is set to “In Stock.”

When viewing the product page this message is displayed “This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.”

What have I missed or is this a bug?

  • I recall having this same issue a few months ago before I abandoned the use of Registrations due to difficulties with accessing the participant data. If I recall correctly, it was a combination of
    1) setting the Manage Stock in WC and the Registration plugin settings, and
    2) only putting the pricing in the individual variations, and
    3) turning off the stock limits or putting in a Quantity on Hand.

The way I troubleshot was turning off all Manage Stock selections and making sure there was a price in the variations. I would then get In Stock on the shop page for each variation with a price, then start turning on Stock Management details and check the shop page each step.

    Hope this helps.

Hi @zerogravity, this is a bug since the WooCommerce 3.4 release, when some changes affected the plugin. We’re currently working in the fix and will release it tomorrow.

Thanks Allyson. That fixed the error. Another issue with the Prevent registrations to past events came up but will start a new thread for that.

I have 2.0.4 and I still get the out of stock error.

@allysonsouza I resolved this out of stock error.

How did you resolve the issue? Thank you! Karla

This is what I believe to be the solution. I click add new to add a new product. I check the virtual box while the product data still is in the default ‘Simple Product’. Then I change the product type (Product data is how it reads) to ‘Registration’. Check the box “Enable stock management at product level”. Enter an amount higher than 0 in the quantity field once the new drop fields appear. Go to the dates tab and select either single date, multiple dates, or date range. Click add new date. Then enter the dates. Be sure to click Save Dates when you are done.
Then click on the Variations tab. Click the ‘Go’ button. Select a date in the dropdown. Enter a price and a quantity for this variation. Click save changes. You can repeat the add variation steps by pressing the ‘Go” button again, enter the data and clicking save changes.

Once done hit the ‘Publish’ button and then you ought to be good to go.. I hope this helps.

The problem I had with the same error was that for a variable product I did not input sell price! When you add product variation you HAVE TO put in the regular price for each variant. I thought that if its empty it will borrow from parent product, but apparently that’s not the case. Interestingly later I noticed that this field says “required” but allows to save empty anyways.
