The image of the recipe appears before and after the title… what’s wrong and how do I remove the first image?

  • elenigna, I’ll help you out because I had the same problem. In your reciepe template REMOVE the line:

    [cooked-image]

That way you won’t have the image showing up twice. Remember that you’ll always need to add a featured image if you want one to show up.

    Hope that helps!

@itstotallymygame is correct, you can remove that shortcode to hide the second image. However, if you WANT the second image but DO NOT want the first one, you would need to add some custom CSS to hide the first one, which is coming from the theme as the “featured image”. I cannot provide this CSS because every theme is different. I would need to see the URL of your site in order to provide the needed CSS. ??

Thanks for the replies! Ideally I want to remove the 1st image entirely cause having double images and one hidden will slow down the site and does no good for seo… any idea of where the 1st image code could be? Or how to find out where it is?

Also I seem to have another issue… I can’t show the recipes in the theme style when I load them from the “recipe category”, they show in a custom style that looks broken and not good at all… ??

Can you submit your information as a bug report here so I can take a look?
