    I’ve tried to restore one backup and gave me this message:

    “Delete: mu-plugins-old: Failed

    Old directory removal failed for some reason.

    You may want to do this manually.”

    Could anyone share with me how to manually:
    Remove this mu-plugins-old

    Do I have to go to FTP and just DELETE it?

    or is it that dangerous?

    Yes, just use FTP. That’s exactly the same thing as the plugin is trying itself.

    But probably you won’t be able to – likely you have a host who has hard-locked that directory against deletion because they have mu-plugins that they want to run on your site. In that case, you can make the message vanish from UD by renaming it to something else (or by asking the host if they can delete it).

    Thanks David,

    I’m confused here.
    Who is the Host?

    The web Hosting company?

    UD, stands for…what?

    Host = hosting company, yes.

    UD = UpdraftPlus.

    Thank you David,

    Would it be a problem if I ignore this message?

    I do not want to mess with the hosting company setting.

    Besides that my hosting company is not very helpful when I ask them questions regarding pretty much any issue with my site.

    Hi,

    While the message can be ignored, it will prevent any future restoration of the ‘Others’ section of the backups.

    However, it will not otherwise affect the operation of the site.

    Thank you.

    I am not familiar with “Others” section side of the backup.

    Now I’ll contact my new hosting company to help me get rid of this old plugin.

    I was able to delete it clicking the button on the Updraft plugin page.

    Before it didn’t work to delete it that way, but some how now it worked.

    Thanks for all your help.
