    If I set too many blackout dates it just blacks out everything, even the dates I left available. Then I turned off the blackout dates toggle switch but all dates remain unavailable, only way to fix is to remove all blackout dates again.

    I also set “appointments start every: 30 minutes” but it still shows appointments in 15min slots.

    I really love the simplicity of this plugin, any suggestions to fix the issues i’m having?

    Hi there, thanks for trying out our plugin! It’s obviously still new, sorry about the bug you found. I haven’t seen that issue yet but I’ll load up a bunch of blackout dates to test it. We should have an updated release on Tuesday, and as long as I can reproduce the issue we should have a fix then too. I’ll post back here when we release the new version!

    Just to let you know what I was trying to achieve. We’ve got an event coming up where I need to book consultant appointments in 30 mins slots for 1 weekend only, hence a lot of blackout dates before and after the event.

    It would be great if there was an ‘available dates’ options, essentially the opposite to blacking out, where all dates are blacked except the ones I choose.

    Hi Adam, I’ve done a little testing and found out a couple things:

    1. When I disable “Blackout Dates” those blackout dates still apply – that’s an easy fix on our end, just something we missed in initial testing

    2. The blackout dates appear to be working for me otherwise, but I think the issue you’re seeing is that SSA is only checking for dates available between now and “30 days from now” (even though the person trying to book can click out to a few months from now). It looks like additional dates aren’t being fetched, so it just looks like no time is available.
    My theory is that your 1-weekend event is 30+ days out from now. Is that correct? If so, could you try un-blacking-out a weekend in the next 15 days or so? If those dates show as available, then I understand the bug that we need to fix. If your event is less than 30 days away and still not showing up, please let me know and I’ll look into it further before we code a fix.

    Yep that’s correct, our event was more than 30 days out and when I put in a closer date it seemed to be ok.

    Hi Adam, we’ve released a new version of Simply Schedule Appointments that should help with the issues you experienced previously. SSA will now honor the booking slots you define (every 15 mins, 30 mins, etc. so now you can allow appointments to be booked on half-hour increments only)

    We’ve also made it work if your event occurs within the next 90 days (instead of 30). A forthcoming fix in the next couple weeks will make it work even if your event is 18 months out, but hopefully this should get you up and running in the meantime ??

    I wanted to post an update here, we just released the permanent fix, so now you can have blackout dates as far out as you want, even if your event is in 2020 ??
