does a wordpress install wipe out any existing content on the domain

  • Hello

    I have a website with the domain name of https://www.ebook-of-the-week.com.

    It has a landing page and several sub pages.

    If I install a wordpress blog on this domain would it wipe out all the existing content?

    Dumb question maybe but I want to make sure all my hard work is not lost

  • No, but since you have content there installing WordPress in a subdirectory would be best. Just make sure you don’t overwrite an existign subdirectory with your wordpress install.
