I have having a problem with WooCommerce 2.1.1 / WooCommerce PRO 1.6.1 in which a customer trying to ship and order to an address other than the billing address causes a “Flat Rate Shipping” field to appear. This field is required and the order cannot be placed. If I uncheck “Ship to Another Address” the field dissappears. Also, if I enter some random text into the field then I can place the order but this behavior will confuse my customers. I have temporarily solved the problem by selecting the “Billing Address as default” option in WooCommerce settings but this will make it impossible for a customer to send a gift for example. Can anyone give me some insight as to what’s going on? I have several screenshots available that demonstrates the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  • Hi @anselgrogan,

we have not met this error before and I can not reproduce it in our test environment.

Can you send screenshots with shipping settings of your store? I will also be grateful for the link to your site.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

This field is not related to Flexible Shipping but to some plugin you are using for customizing checkout page fields.

Please check the plugins you have enabled. I’m pretty sure that when you find the plug-in responsible for customizing fields on the page and turning it off, the field will disappear.

    Cheers,
    Przemyslaw
