    Hello all,

I have a bilingual website. English/Tibetan. I use Polylang for the translations.

Now i have an issue with WP User Frontend. In my Post Form, the user can select the category of the post.
In the settings of the form, i have selected all the categories, both the Tibetan categories and the English categories. So that the user can chose whether his post should appear on the Tibetan part of the website or on the English one.

The problem is that once i test the form on the frontend, only the Tibetan categories appear as an option (Tibetan is the default language of the site). The English categories don’t appear.
How should i show all te categories?
As said, in the settings, the categories of both languages appear, and i have selected them all.

    Best regards,

    Adrien

Additional info: in the Post Form i’ve also added a language field, but whether the suer selects Tibetan or English, the choice of Categories remain the same (the Tibetan categories).

If i write a post via the backend though, when i select the language of the post (there’s an option thanks tot he Polylang plugin), then the categories from which i can chose are being modified accordingly.
Basically i need the same functionality in the front end.
Is it possible with Polylang? Or maybe with WPML ?

    Best regards,

    Adrien

    Hi @adriwp,

In frontend the form will only show categories for the selected language or the default language that is selected. If you want your user to switch the language then you should use the polylang language switcher.

By using the switcher the user can switch to any language and you only need to add a category field which will populate data according to the selected language.

Let us know if you still have any confusion.

    Thanks

I have a similar problem -I use the constructor Divi, and when selecting a blog entry category, shows only categories of one language. When switching the language to another – the categories remain the same language
site in PL and ENG languages – default PL
