Easy User Management

Hi folks.

I’m setting up a community blogging network using WP MU, to replace a community that was using private blogging software with numerous community features. I’m gradually trying to find plugins/hacks to enable these features in our WP Installation.

One thing I’m having trouble finding is a plugin that allows for easy management of users.

Ideally I’d like for each of our users on the site to be able to see a list of all registered members with an option to add that member as a ‘friend’ (just by checking a box, without having to go via the standard WP ‘add user’ feature which requires you to know the email address of the user you want to add to your blog).

Following from the creation of this friends list, I’d like users to be able to make friends-only blog posts.

I’ve found a few plugins that were *sort-of* what I was after, but they had some issues – either they weren’t for WP MU, or they used the standard ‘add user’ feature which won’t work for us (because of the need to know the user’s email address).
