Hello, I run a site that has different, custom WordPress roles assigned to different users – they can upload and download, and their files are kept separate from one another so that no one sees what anyone else has uploaded or downloaded. If I pay for the premium W3 for the Amazon S3 usability, will the plugin respect these roles, and create separate files in my S3 bucket?

A little more specific: I use Easy Digital Downloads and Front End submissions/FES for various vendors on my site, is the W3 CDN/Amazon S3 functionality compatible with EDD & FES?

  • From what i understand about EDD it should since i’ve seen similar plugins work. But i have not tested EDD/FES with w3tc. But you may need to adjust your CDN settings to tell w3tc where EDD is storing those uploads, assuming it is not storing uploads into wp’s /uploads directory due to the diff roles.

    Give it a try.

    “Hello @xmacro,

Plugin just follows the media uploads and mirror it to CDN with the same path. i.e. it’s logic is irrelevant to roles set up and it should work well.
