Random importing of accented characters

    I have used table press for a restaurant wine list which is prepared as an excel spreadsheet. I export the excel file as a CSV and then import to Tablepress but there is an issue with accented characters. Some accented characters such as a or ? are just not imported and some such as e acute and grave are imported in some cases and not others. Is there a work around for this as I have to manually check and correct to sort this out?

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    This sounds like a problem with the character encoding of the files. Can you check if the generated CSV files have the UTF-8 character encoding (in a text editor) and if the characters look correct there?
