  • Hi @jquan

Please go through all these steps in “Scan Troubleshooting” guide, if none of them helped, then kill any running scan at the moment and make sure “debug mode” is enabled then run a new scan. When it hangs, send a scan activity log to “alaa [at] wordfence [dot] com”. I’ll take a look on this report and let you know my findings. It will be helpful also if you can send a diagnostics report to the same email address, you can do that from (Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics).

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thank you for your help. I was trying to find how to set wordfence in a debug mode, but I did not find it.
What I did was to show the log and did a new scan, after showing what the scan was doing, this was the error I got:

May 16 08:13:17] Analyzed 3300 files containing 34.13 MB of data so far
[May 16 08:13:24] Scan can’t continue – stored data not found after a fork. Got type: boolean
[May 16 08:13:24] Scan terminated with error: Scan can’t continue – stored data not found after a fork.

    Does it help?
    Please advice

    Hi @jquan

    Yes, this helps, thanks!

Could you please check the PHP and MySQL versions? you can find that in (Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > PHP Environment and MySQL section).

While being on the “Diagnostics Page”, you can check “Debugging Options” section as there you will find the “Enable Debugging Mode” option.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    This is what I found:

PHP Environment PHP version, important PHP extensions.
PHP version >= PHP 5.2.4 (Minimum version required by WordPress)
    7.0.30
    Process Owner
    ua888298

    MySQL Database version and privileges.
    Database Version
    10.2.14-MariaDB
Checking if MySQL user has DELETE privilege
    OK

After setting in debug mode, the scan got me this:

[May 17 15:33:50] Scan will run as admin user ‘jvq’ with ID ‘1’ sourced from: singlesite get_users() function
[May 17 15:33:50] Scan authentication complete.
[May 17 15:33:50] Done become admin
[May 17 15:33:50] Requesting max memory
[May 17 15:33:50] Setting up error handling environment
[May 17 15:33:50] Setting up scanRunning and starting scan
[May 17 15:33:50] Scan can’t continue – stored data not found after a fork. Got type: boolean
[May 17 15:33:50] Scan terminated with error: Scan can’t continue – stored data not found after a fork.
[May 17 15:33:50] Scan process ended after forking.

    Hope this helps,

I just sent the report by email according to your instructions.

    Thanks

    Hi @jquan

I can see your site is running the same version of the database that another user with the same issue has on his server as well, which is MariaDB 10.2.15. Could you please try this solution mentioned here and report back if this worked for you too? It could be something related to a misconfiguration on the server level and we need to make sure about that.

    Thanks.
