Scoring Rules

    For starters, many thanks for this nice plugin! I am currently configuring it to use it in our company for the upcoming World Cup in Russia.

    I have a question about the scoring rules. I think there is something off with the following scenario:
    Suppose I predict 3 – 0 on a match and the match ends on 3 – 6. This would mean – along to me – that I would receive 8 points: 3 because I’ve predicted the correct goals for one team (namely, 3) and 5 extra points because I got the goal difference correct (3 in this case as well). But when I enter this in the system, it only gives me 3 points on this match. Is it a mistake I’m making, or is there something wrong? ??

    Hi, I think the goal difference has to be in the correct direction, means that goal difference (A-B) is taken into account if you predicted the correct winner and looser too. In your example you predicted 3-0 and the result is 3-6. So the correct winner is not team A, but team B. I think this rule makes sense.
