    Hi,

    Thanks for this outstanding plugin.
It seems all possible enhancements have been included in your plugin except the crucial SEO feature.
If you could add a dedicated SEO for the comments that would make the plugin extremely useful, and the publishers would be able to benefit indexing of their comment discussions, just as we have in your wpforo forum discussions.

Awaiting a positive response from you!

    Thank you, and Cheers!

Thank you for considering my request.
Could you please give a confirmed assurance regarding this? because unless the comments become indexable other forms of enhancements won’t have any significance.
I am eager to see this feature in your plugin so that I can quickly install and get it working for my 50,000+ existing comment discussions in my site
Except Disqus there’s apparently no other plugin which includes an SEO feature, there are a few other plugins like loudvoice, widget-pack and Full-comment-system, but these simply stop working and become unresponsive while exporting the existing wordpress comments into their interface.

There are a few options you should set to make sure all your comments are indexed. There is no any dedicated SEO feature for comments. The meta tags are managed by post content not by comments.

    1. In case Google don’t index ajax loaded comments of your website you can enable the default pagination. Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > Discussions admin page and check the checkbox in “Break comments into pages with [X] top level comments per page the [last/first] page displayed by default.” option.

    2. For the same purpose make sure the replies are not hidden on page load. Navigate to Dashboard > Comments > Settings > Comment List Tab end disable the “Display only parent comments and view replies ∨ button” option.

That’s all. Comments are indexed and tracked as post content by Search Engines. So all dedicated SEO features should come from your posts not from comments. Comments are already ready for indexing and they are being indexed very well.

Thank you very much for this amazing support,
I have implemented your suggestions, I have paginated the comments, regarding your 2nd suggestion the “Display only parent comments and view replies button” was disabled by default, so I just left it as it is.

Your kind responses so far has inspired me to ask a few more questions, I hope you won’t mind answering them ??
    1) Does your first suggestion hold good for the default wordpress system also, meaning does paginating comments increase the indexing chances for the default wordpress comment set-up also?
    2) Why is “yoast” warning me not to go for pagination of the comments, since according to it 999 times out of 1000 this is not required?
    3) In wpDiscuz is their any way to make the main social icons such as FB, G+ and tweeter visible to all, presently I can see them hidden behind the “share” icon? Keeping them visible will motivate the users to share their posts.

That’s all, thank you very much for your time!
I have installed wpforo and wpDiscuz in my site and I must say both are working flawlessly in my site, thank you very much for these technically sound plugins.
    Cheers!

This is the default WordPress system pagination, it should be good.

    2) Why is “yoast” warning me not to go for pagination of the comments, since according to it 999 times out of 1000 this is not required?

I have no idea, you should ask this question them. I know that there are three ways to display all comments
    – Load them all at once (it’ll slow down page speed if you have hundreds of comments)
    – AJAX pagination [Load more]
    – Page reloading pagination
All types are available in wpDiscuz, even more:
    https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-documentation/settings/comment-list-settings/#pagination

And the winner for an easy indexing ability is the “Page reloading” pagination, unless Google is not smart enough to index AJAX loaded data.

    3) In wpDiscuz is their any way to make the main social icons such as FB, G+ and tweeter visible to all, presently I can see them hidden behind the “share” icon? Keeping them visible will motivate the users to share their posts.

I’m sorry but there is no an easy way. It requires custom codding.
