Recorded Videos Not Showing up in Recorded Videos WP

  • You will get a warning page not secured, due to using an HTTPS in the URL. To view this page, you will need to click the ADVANCE link at the bottom of the page to continue to the site. Once there, visit the URL noted above to see where I embedded the video recorder. It seems to successfully store the videos tot he Pipe Account RECORDINGS page – but NOT to the RECORDINGS page on the backed of my WordPress account…please advise. Thanks, Brian

    Hi Brian,

    There are 2 main reasons why the recorded videos do not show up in the WP backend::

    1) The video_converted and video_copied_pipe_s3 webhook from the Pipe platform to your WP website is not set up (correctly). People usually activate other webhooks or insert the URL incorrectly.

    2) To add a recorder to your WP pages and blog posts you need to use the shortcode generated by the plugin, not the HTML/JS embed code generated in the https://addpipe.com account area. Only videos recorded through recorders embedded through the shortcode will show up in your WP backend.

    The shortcode results in an embed code which contains the WP user and Pipe account hash and these details are verified by the webhook receiving script embedded with the plugin.

    OK, so I removed the embed code i used from pipe.com…and utilized the short code generated by the plugin. I also reset the HASH number and confirmed that all webhook settings, “video_recorded”, “video_converted” and “video_copied_pipe_s3″ are all selected. Whether they are ‘setup correctly’ beyond merely checking the box….i’m guessing. I’m not a programmer, nor did i find any sort of a guide on ‘Getting Started” that would walk me through what a proper setup looks like. Can you help on this?

    Bottom line – Still no videos showing up in WP backend. Can we jump on a support call and/or chat – if I can’t get this reconciled and tested prior to my 14 day trial ending…which is taking a long time due to slow support response – I would NOT be comfortable in moving forward on a pay plan.

    Hi,

    Webhooks are fired by our system but they’re never properly received by yours.

    The reason is the security certificate you’re using on production.k***********s.com. The server could not prove that it is production.k***********s.com; its security certificate is from a***********s.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.
