Publish panel disappeared from Edit Postings screen in WP2.7

  • I was trying to move the Simple Tags panel (I am using Simple Tags plugin) around on the Edit Postings screen. Actually I wanted to move it below the Edit box. I selected the Tags and began to drag it down. Suddenly found that the Publish panel had disappeared. Now to the right of the editing box I have Tags and Categories panel but no Publish panel. When I switch to Edit Pages screen, the Publish panel is present.

    Suggestions??

  • Near the top of the screen, on the right, it says Screen Options. Click that tab – make sure that the Publish box is checked.

    There is no Publish box present in the list of Screen Options. On checking on the Edit Pages screen, where the Publish panel is present and working, there is no Publish box present in the list of Screen Options either.
