• Hello,

I have some custom post types created by other plugins, and since the 2.0 update on Ultimate Member the Content Restriction is not working properly.
I have 3 different categories in a custom post type, and before the update I could set a um-role for each category which is able to read the posts.
Since the big 2.0 update this is not working anymore.
Is this a known issue, or is there a different setting to achieve this now?
    UM-Version: 2.0.13
    WP-version: 4.9.5

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @soxer1,

Do you see your custom post type in the Ultimate member ->Settings -> Access and Restricted Access to Posts? Please make sure to check your post type and see if it solves your issue.

    Regards.

    Thanks for the Reply.
It was already checked there, so this doesnt solve my issue.
In fact I realised that it doesn’t even get restricted for non Users.
So everyone can see the page, by entering the correct slug, thats even a bigger issue.

Do you have any other ideas on how to fix it?

edit: Accessing even regular posts via Slug is possible with UM activated. It blockes out the contet of the post, yet im still able to view the page and see the title of the post. As far as I understand there should be the “Restricted message” if i try to access a page that im not supposed to.
Seems like a bug introduces with new UM, didn’t have this problem with 1.3.88

    appreciate the support.
    Have a nice Day.

    Update:
I fonud out that the option “display restricted access message” is causing these bugs on posts. It all works fine when using a custom redirect URL.

Another thing we realised is if you logout from the wp-admin dashboard. It is redirected to WordPress default Logout/Login page Instead of the URL provided by Ultimate Member(Like it does if you log out from the website).

Hope this helps someone fix some of their issues.

    Hi @soxer1,

Please update to the latest Ultimate member version and check your logout page in Ultimate member -> Settings -> General -> pages and make sure that you have correct logout page assigned there.

    Regards.

    Hello @ultimatemembersupport

    Thank you for your time.
I am currently using UM 2.0.16, that should be the newest Version as far as I can tell.
I have set the Logout page to Home, and it works as long as you logout from the mainsites. Yet as soon as I logout from WordPress-Dashboard the redirect does not lead to the home-site but to the WordPress logout/Login page.

    Best regards
