Pairing Next Page with Previous Post?

I just found out that Next Page is not compatible with Previous Post (after debugging for a while and seeing the sidebar in the Next Page page on your site).

That said, using both seems like a common scenario. “Previous Post” is a no-brainer for any infinite scroll. Maintaining some sections with “nextpage” across some post is not out of question.

While a formal release may have some blockers in place, is there a workaround that could be applied in the meantime? Each extension works well separately, but not in tandem.
