Sportpress for individual sports

  • Hi. Is it possible to make preset for individual sports like martial arts (kikboxing,boxing), bodybuilding competitions
    I only found switch player vs player mode but i have faced a problem setting a player statisics. Because player stats bound to events! It is not right!!! No matter what sport i choose…im already got some statistic material-create a player-input parametrs such as wins,loses,draws,ko’s,and total – so i want to display wins presentage according to entered data but sport press calculate avg only based on events!!! Do you think i woud enter the whole bunch of competitions by certain player of all time he plays to display right stats? I think it some kind of wrong logic. What if just want to display players data and not displaying any events? If so, i cant display avg wins rate?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    In your case, you can use our CSV importers to add your past data. Adding a preset wouldn’t change this at all (a preset would just add the SportsPress > Configure rules).

    Our plugin is based on events data, and you need to add them for the stats and other metrics to work correctly. You can hide the events though, but you still need to add them.

    Its creepy logic! I need events no matter what. It is better to create custom post type using ACF or similar builder to create template and use it. Its a pitty your plugin got such a limitation ??
    What i found is that sportpress not allowing me to create player list with filtering. So i need 3rd party plugin to achieve this functionality.
    For example…ive got player list and whant to filter them according to thair stats, like wins or wins precentage, or height , weight and other params. I think you should add filtering feature as adopt sportpress for individual sports.
    Also, any idea how to calculate total matches?
    I created a filed total. After event is over – i entered who win and who loose and after this two players involved in event must got +1 to thair total quantity of mathces

    It may not work for your case in particular, but I can guarantee you that it works for most cases. That’s why we did it this way. ??

    If your end result is so simple that you can do it this way, then go for it. SportsPress is aimed towards complex stats and sports management, it may be a lot of work for simpler sites.

    It’s actually the opposite of a limitation. We have too many tools for your desired implementation.

    If by filtering you mean front-end filtering (something that your users could use) we don’t have this feature at the moment, unfortunately. We did get this suggestion in the past and it’s in our features request list already, but we don’t have any ETA for that.

    We have the appearances stat for that. You don’t need to calculate it.

    BTW, it’s much better if you break down different issues into different topics, otherwise, it may get long and confusing.
