• I decided to try disabling cache prebuild since it uses so much CPU on my shared hosting account. When I uncheck the “Prebuild Cache Automatically” box and save, I get the error “There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page.” I’ve tried several times but saving the option won’t stick and the cache continues to prebuild. I am on version 1.7.1. Thanks for your help.

**UPDATE: There was apparently a weird conflict with Yoast SEO (disabling Yoast allowed me to save the setting).

Another question: I still have caching enabled even though prebuild is turned off. When I visit pages on the front end, the pages are not being cached manually. Is this default behavior for Swift?

It appears that when Prebuild is disabled, I also need to disable “Optimize Prebuild Only” and “Optimize in Background” for the cache to manually generate with site visits. When I do that, then pages are cached manually after visiting them on the front end. Is this correct? Thanks.

No need to disable prebuild…simply pick the “Limit Simultaneous Threads” option and pick 2 or 3.
